Here’s the latest 2024 World of Roast Magazine and US Coffee Champions Daily Coffee News

The world has two new coffee champions for 2024: Austria’s World Brewers Cup champion Martin Wolfl; and Brazil’s World Cup Testers Champion Deonatan Almeida.

Both champions were crowned over the weekend inside Chicago’s McCormick Place Convention Center during the Specialty Coffee Association’s annual expo, which drew more than 17,000 coffee people over three days.

In addition to the World Champions, the show resulted in three new United States Coffee Champions: US Roasters Champion Eduardo Choza of Mayorga Coffee; US Coffee in Good Spirits Champion Renalyn Callejo of Olympia Coffee; and Artly Coffee’s US Latte Art Champion Joe Young.

All three of the U.S. winners advance to compete for the world title this June at the World of Coffee trade show in Copenhagen, Denmark.
